Diet pills: We’ve all heard of them and thousands of men and women through out the UK are using diet pills as a method of losing weight or as a way of maintaining their ideal weight. But are diet pills safe? There have been many studies into the side effects people suffer as a result of taking dieting pills but whatever the outcome of these studies people looking to lose weight still look at dieting pills as a weight loss solution. I must confess I am one of the thousands of women who have purchased and subsequently taken numerous brands of dieting pills, some worked and helped me lose weight and others weren’t quite as successful. But either way I wouldn’t say it was a bad experience. I wanted to lose weight and I did, although I gained the weight once I stopped taking the pills, they worked in the short term and I managed to lose weight in time for a friends wedding. So, did I lose weight? Yes. Could I keep it off and maintain my new trim figure? No, but that wasn’t the aim of my weight loss. I’m not going to sit here and preach to you on the best weight loss methods for you, I believe it’s up to the individual how they choose to diet and if dieting pills work for you and you find they are currently helping you to lose weight then great! However, don’t be naïve enough to think that your weight loss will last forever, dieting pills only tend to work whilst your still taking them. The only way to achieve long term weight loss is to eat a balanced diet, if you’re looking for ways to kick start your weight loss but don’t know where to start, take a look at our free diet plan. If you’re looking for a long term weight loss solution then it might be worth considering the Low GI diet, which is known to be a successful way of helping the dieter lose weight and keep it off losing on average 2lbs a week. However, dieting doesn’t work for everyone especially people with a great deal of weight to lose. In such situations some individuals are prescribed dieting pills to help them lose weight, obese patients will usually be prescribed pills such as Xenical (orlistat) or Reductil (sibutramine) by a qualified doctor or medical profession. Even though both of the pills mentioned above are known to be relatively safe and definitely help with weight loss they can usually only be taken under medical supervisions as there are all sorts of side effects that come with taking either Xenical or Reductil. People on Xenical (orlistat) have initially complained of flatulence and loose stools, it is also a well known fact that Xenical can also interfere the way which fat-soluble vitamins are absorbed. If you are taking Xenical under the supervision of your doctor you might want to consider taking vitamin supplements for vitamins A, D, E, and K. People taking Reductil (sibutramine) have also complained of side effects such as an increase in blood pressure, constipation, insomnia and a dry mouth. Very few forms of medication work without some form of side effects and although both Xenical (orlistat) and Reductil (sibutramine) come with known side effects, people taking these weight loss pills do lose weight and usually reach their weight loss goals. It is more concerning when people take weight loss pills without any medical supervision or without taking any medical advice before taking diet pills. The fact is dieting pills most probably will work and will help you lose weight but are you risking your health for the sake of fitting into a pair of size 10 jeans and is it really worth it? For those of you desperate to lose weight dieting pills might work for you but before you do decided to purchase any form of dieting pills be sure to speak to your Doctor or take some form of medical advice. Alternatively if you only have a small amount of weight to lose you might find a diet is more suitable for you. Hoodia Gordonii Weight Loss Supplement
