I've lost weight!

Ok so it's been a couple of weeks since I started this particular diet and I'm still going strong and battling the bulge, in fact I've even bought myself an exercise bike! This time I mean business.

Thanks to a long term bad back problem I'm limited to the amount of exercise I can undertake and so an exercise bike seemed like the ideal solution, it's low impact and yet still a great way to lose weight and tone up those legs, thighs and of course the ever growing butt!

Last week I managed to lose 2lbs by following a combination of a Low GI diet and by generally following a healthy eating plan. I'm eating more fruit and veg as well as cutting down on anything high in fat. There is one other small change I've made to my eating habits - portion size. At first I found this really difficult to decrease my portion size, as you might have read in my first entry I'm a bit of a food lovie! But I'm getting there it's taking time and effort but I know it's going to pay off which is whats keeping me going.

So 2lbs last week and this week again I'm aiming for another 2lbs at least although now I have my exercise bike I might even aim for 3lbs!
